Follow us on a journey to the region of Emilia-Romagna in central Italy where we find bustling Bologna, home of the oldest university in Europe, miles of porticoes and popular culinary traditions including fresh handmade pasta, lasagne and bolognese meat sauce. This delightful city never fails to surprise first-time visitors for its lively university vibe and picturesque porticoed streets. We’ll also travel to nearby Parma, home of the celebrated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and Prosciutto di Parma as well as stunning artistic monuments, followed by a stop at Modena for a taste of the city’s world famous balsamic vinegar and peek into the gorgeous Romanesque cathedral.
While in the area we have a chance to visit the iconic luxury car factories of Ferrari and Lamborghini that are produced in this region – both feature fascinating museums and the chance to test drive your dream car.
