CLUB TORNABUONI
Residence Clubs have attracted a dedicated following among sophisticated travellers for more than a decade.
The concept offers an alternative to the outright ownership of a second home, offering a flexibility of usage throughout the year and often in conjunction with other buildings and locations within the Club.
Palazzo Tornabuoni is one of very few urban residence Clubs in Europe, and the first in the world to occupy a site of such historic and artistic significance (this is still the only Medici home in private hands).
This special status is reflected in its unique title of ‘Palace Residence Club’, and in its unrivalled Membership services and privileges.
About the Club
There’s no small pleasure to be gleaned from being a Member of a Club that owns a stake in the palazzo where the world’s first opera performance took place; in knowing that the statue of Diana that welcomes you at the foot of the stairs has been there for three and a half centuries; in coming home to a spacious residence whose sapient design captures perfectly the classic but contemporary spirit of modern-day Florence.
Membership in the Club is your entrée to a unique and venerable Florentine lifestyle. The Club Lounge is not only a relaxing venue for an espresso or an aperitivo, but a meeting place where Members can exchange advice and experiences.
It’s also the focal point for encounters with visiting experts, ranging from wine tastings to informal talks on subjects as diverse as economics and modern Italian design.
And with the help of the Palazzo’s knowledgeable Attachés, whose Florentine contact books are second to none, Members can enjoy preferential access to museums, galleries and private collections, go backstage during an opera performance at the city’s Maggio Musicale festival, or take advantage of the exclusive entrée granted to Club Members at several of Tuscany’s most prestigious vineyards.
For sports enthusiasts, immediate access to Tuscany’s leading golf, tennis and rowing Clubs is a Palazzo Tornabuoni Membership privilege. The Attachés can also arrange for you to join a weekend horseback riding or hunting party in Tuscany’s most spectacular landed estates.
Club Attaché
Palazzo Tornabuoni’s Club Attaché has been appointed to help residents feel at home in the city, putting the private world of Florence and Tuscany at their fingertips. In addition to offering the full range of services provided by hotel concierges the Club Attaché can facilitate the organisation of rewarding encounters and design bespoke itineraries and outings.
Private introductions and entry to wine-tasting tours and estates, palaces and villas, private chefs, and preferential access to private art collections, galleries and museums can all be arranged, while tours with palace ‘friends’ – (professors or experts, not necessarily guides), will all serve to help Members of the Club experience the private life of Florence as a resident in their home away from home.
In addition, the service extends to tours of other cities and towns, country weekend outings – riding through private estates or hunting wild boar, invitations to previews of art and fashion collections. All to ensure that owners are able experience the best of the region.
Collaborating with the front desk, the team will also handle such five star concierge wishes as bookings for restaurants, theatre, tennis, golf and riding or child care, cooking classes, airport transfers, pre-arrival grocery shopping and valet parking.
